1. Acceptance and consent
By registering an ePARK user account or by initiating a parking session, the customer enters into an agreement with ePARK and thereby accepts these general terms and conditions. Acceptance applies regardless of whether the parking is initiated via mobile application, SMS, voice response service, website, or through ePARK’s administrative procedures for business services.

2. Local deviations
Parking conditions are determined locally by the respective parking operator and/or landowner. This means that the general terms may vary between different parking areas. Each operator and landowner applies its own agreements and conditions, which may result in deviations from these general terms. Such deviations may, among other things, concern available payment methods and additional fees.

  1. Methods of payment
ePARK offers the following payment methods:

Invoice
For parking initiated via SMS or mobile application, payment may be made by paper invoice. The invoice is sent by post to the customer’s registered billing address and an invoice fee applies. The fee amounts to SEK 29 for 14 days’ payment terms and SEK 35 for 30 days’ payment terms.
The customer’s billing address is retrieved from the population register in connection with the application for invoice payment. Changes to the billing address must be made via the ePARK mobile application or by contacting ePARK customer service. ePARK does not perform automatic updates of billing addresses. The customer is responsible for ensuring payment is made no later than the due date stated on the invoice.

Email invoice
For parking initiated via SMS or mobile application, payment may be made by email invoice. The invoice is sent as a PDF attachment to the email address provided by the customer. Email invoice may be selected with 14 days’ payment terms without an invoice fee, or with 30 days’ payment terms, in which case an invoice fee of SEK 35 applies. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the provided email address is correct and up to date, and that payment is made no later than the due date stated on the invoice.

e-invoice
E-invoice means that a digital invoice is sent directly to the customer’s online bank. An administration fee of SEK 29 applies for e-invoices.

card payment
Card payment means that the customer registers a payment card for payment of parking fees. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the registered card is valid and has sufficient funds to cover the services used. ePARK charges the customer’s card in connection with completed parking.

sms
For parking initiated via SMS, where the customer does not already have a registered ePARK user account, paper invoice is applied as the default payment method. The customer may choose or change payment method via ePARK’s website. The customer is responsible for selecting the desired payment method.

swish
Swish means that the customer can pay using Swish both via a verified ePARK account and without an account through the ePARK Quick service. Service fees may apply depending on agreements with the respective parking operator.

paypal
PayPal means that the customer can pay using PayPal both via a verified ePARK account and without an account through the ePARK Quick service. Service fees may apply depending on agreements with the respective parking operator.

direct debit (autogiro)
For payment via direct debit, an administration fee of SEK 35 applies, covering handling and administration costs.

corporate invoice – ePARK business
By joining the ePARK Business service, the company undertakes to pay the parking fees incurred through its employees’ use of ePARK’s services, provided that the parking is carried out via ePARK Business. For the ePARK Business service, payment terms of 30 days apply. An invoice fee of SEK 35 per invoice applies.

4. payment terms
payment responsibility
By using ePARK’s services, the customer is liable for payment of all fees incurred. ePARK reserves the right to engage third parties for handling customer payments, including reminder and debt collection services.

right of withdrawal
In accordance with the Swedish Distance Contracts Act, no right of withdrawal applies to parking tickets or other parking-related services once the service has begun and an electronic parking ticket has been issued. By starting the parking, the customer consents to the immediate commencement of the service and acknowledges that the right of withdrawal thereby ceases.

refunds
In the event of a refund of an incorrectly paid amount, ePARK is entitled to charge an administrative fee of SEK 100. The fee covers administrative costs associated with the refund. As an alternative to a refund, ePARK may, at no cost to the customer, offer compensation in the form of parking credits.

card payments
All card payments are handled by an external party.

invoice payments
Invoice payment, in the form of paper invoice or email invoice, is offered. To choose invoice payment, the customer must be at least 18 years old and registered as a resident in Sweden. Payment terms are 14 or 30 days depending on the selected option. In the event of non-payment, ePARK has the right to send a payment reminder, whereby a statutory reminder fee of SEK 60 applies. If payment is still not made, ePARK may refer the claim to debt collection in accordance with applicable law.

parking credits
Parking credits mean that the customer is credited with an amount with ePARK. The balance is automatically used as payment instead of card or other payment method, provided that sufficient credits are available to cover all or part of the cost of the relevant ticket. A customer may receive a maximum of one (1) campaign code within a rolling six-month period.

Parking credits may only be used for short-term parking and may not be used for residential parking, staff parking, permit parking, or electric vehicle charging. Parking credits cannot be redeemed for cash or used for services other than those expressly provided or approved by ePARK.

Parking credits may be time-limited. Unused credits expire on the stated expiration date. One and the same vehicle registration number may only be credited with one (1) campaign code within a one month period, regardless of which user account has registered the vehicle or redeemed the campaign code.
Attempts to circumvent these limitations, such as by creating multiple accounts or using anonymous accounts, constitute a breach of the terms and may result in suspension of accounts, vehicles, or parking credits.

5. services
ePARK premium
In addition to the basic services included in ePARK’s offering, the customer may choose to extend functionality and service level by subscribing to ePARK Premium. ePARK Premium is an add-on service charged with a monthly fee of SEK 9 and an administrative fee of up to SEK 2.50 per initiated or completed parking session. The monthly fee is free of charge for 24 months for customers subscribing during the campaign period 1 January 2024–31 December 2026. After the campaign period, the monthly fee will be charged in accordance with the applicable price list, unless otherwise stated. ePARK Premium may be terminated by the customer or by ePARK with immediate effect and without notice. Fees already charged are non-refundable.

Services included in ePARK Premium include, among others:
• payment with Swish and PayPal.
• registration of up to fifty (50) vehicle registration numbers.
• long-term parking reminders.
• notification and reminder systems.

ePARK quick
When using ePARK’s payment app for parking, the service can be used without creating or verifying an account. This service is referred to as ePARK Quick. A service fee applies.

ePARK business
ePARK Business is a corporate service for managing and paying parking costs incurred through employees’ use of ePARK’s parking services. The service enables centralized invoicing of parking fees to the company based on the use of ePARK accounts linked to the company.

Within ePARK Business, the company, as a legal entity, is responsible for registering and updating the email addresses and vehicle registration numbers covered by the company’s invoicing. Only parking sessions carried out via an ePARK account linked to a registered company email address are included in the company’s payment responsibility.

The employee, as the service user, is responsible for using the correct company-registered email address and vehicle registration number in their ePARK account. Parking carried out with other email addresses is not included in the company’s payment responsibility and will not be invoiced to the company.

6. account types
verified and non-verified account
The customer may register an ePARK account and choose to verify the account using BankID, or use ePARK’s services as a non-verified customer. The provisions applicable to each customer category are set out below.

verified account
A verified account means that the customer identifies themself using BankID. In connection with verification, the customer grants ePARK the right to obtain necessary personal data from governmental registers. For information about how ePARK processes personal data, reference is made to section 17 of these general terms and conditions.

With a verified account, the customer receives, among other things, the following benefits:
• higher security linked to the account.
• the option to choose invoice as a payment method.
• customized services based on parking needs.

non-verified account
As a non-verified customer, the customer is subject to the terms applicable to ePARK Quick. With ePARK Quick, the customer can use ePARK’s services without registering or verifying personal data.
ePARK Quick is intended for fast and simplified use of the services, for example for short-term parking, without a requirement to register an account.

For use of ePARK Quick, a service fee applies of not less than SEK 5 and not more than 10% of the ticket price, in accordance with the price list applicable from time to time. The service may be terminated by the customer or by ePARK with immediate effect and without notice. The customer may at any time choose to verify the account in order to be subject to other terms and fees beyond the applicable parking tariff.

fees and use of services
Note that different fees may apply depending on the customer category. Regardless of customer category, the customer always has the option to park using ePARK’s services.

7. customer obligations
Customers using ePARK’s services are responsible for:
• protecting their ePARK account and ensuring that unauthorized persons do not gain access to passwords. In the event of unauthorized use of the customer’s account, the customer shall immediately contact ePARK support.
• ensuring that all data registered for the respective service is correct. Fees may apply for customers who do not register correct or complete information, for example when using ePARK Quick.
• being liable for payment of the fees for the services.
• entering correct information when starting parking, such as vehicle registration number and parking zone.
• being aware that a parking session is deemed started and ended only once a confirmation has been received.
• ensuring that the customer’s mobile phone and internet connection function properly.
• selecting alternative payment methods for the parking if ePARK’s services for any reason cannot be used.
• using ePARK’s services correctly and without attempting to gain undue advantages through misleading information or technical measures.
• complying with the parking conditions and other rules applicable at the parking areas where ePARK’s services can be used, as determined by the relevant city and/or parking operator. Note that the map in the ePARK app only provides an indication of where parking with ePARK may be available.
• ensuring that all dialogue and any processes concerning payment remarks are handled with the parking company responsible for the relevant location.
The customer is recommended to enable push notifications in order to receive information about changes to terms and other important information. Push notifications are not a requirement for using the service. If the customer chooses not to enable push notifications, the customer is responsible for staying informed about the general terms and other relevant information applicable from time to time.

8. limitation of liability
ePARK is not liable for damage, cost, or other consequences arising as a result of:
• the customer complying with applicable laws and regulations relating to parking.
• the customer entering incorrect information when paying for parking using the services, such as an incorrect vehicle registration number, incorrect parking zone, or incorrect personal identity number.
• another party using the customer’s account.
• damage, consequential damages, or other sanctions, whether direct or indirect, suffered by the customer as a result of use of the services. This does not apply to the extent that Electronic Parking AB has acted intentionally or with gross negligence.
• loss of profit or other financial loss arising as a result of interruption of the service or other errors in the service.

9. parking terms and fees
Applicable parking tariffs and other parking conditions are determined by the respective local parking operator and/or landowner. ePARK is therefore not responsible for the content of such information provided to the customer. ePARK applies standard rounding and may, in accordance with applicable agreements, charge minimum fees and service fees.

10. right to refuse service and payment method
ePARK has the right to refuse a certain customer and/or a certain vehicle registration number from using ePARK’s services. This may, for example, occur in the event of non-payment or attempts to misuse ePARK’s services by means of misleading or incorrect information. ePARK also has the right to terminate an ongoing parking session or other service provided by ePARK. ePARK further has the right to refuse invoice payment for a customer. In such case, the customer is responsible for ensuring that payment for the relevant parking is made using another available payment method.

11. right of withdrawal and complaints
After a parking session has been initiated and an electronic ticket has been issued, the purchase cannot be cancelled. As a customer of ePARK and a user of the service, you are welcome to contact Electronic Parking AB with questions regarding ePARK’s services by email at support@epark.se or by post to: ePARK, Anders Carlssons gata 14, 417 55 Göteborg.
Comments and complaints regarding parking areas, parking tariffs, parking notices, control fees, payment remarks, or similar matters are handled by the parking operator responsible for the relevant location.

12. intellectual property
All intellectual property rights related to the services are the property of ePARK. By using the services, no ownership rights to these intellectual property rights are acquired. No right whatsoever is granted to copy or use them in any manner other than as described in these general terms and conditions.

13. anpr / camera-based parking
Camera-based parking (ANPR) is a feature that the customer can activate in the ePARK app. The app and on-site signage clearly indicate whether the service is available for a specific zone. When the feature is active, the vehicle’s registration number is automatically recorded upon entry and exit. Applicable terms and tariffs for the relevant location are always displayed in the app and on the signage.

activation of the camera feature
To use camera-based parking, the user must first activate the feature “automatic camera parking” in the app. The feature can be activated for multiple vehicle registration numbers. If a registration number has already been activated by another user under a separate account, the camera feature cannot be activated in the app; payment must then be made via a ticket machine or another specified payment channel. All parking sessions started via automatic camera registration are always linked to a personal user account.

start and end of parking
When the registration number is active and the camera reads the vehicle upon entry, the information is automatically sent to the platform. Any barriers open and the parking session starts in the app. The parking session ends automatically when the vehicle leaves the area and cannot be ended manually. At certain locations with camera surveillance and valid long-term tickets, entry and exit may be permitted without using the app on each occasion. This is regulated by the respective parking provider and cannot be guaranteed by ePARK.

payment and fees for anpr
The fee for camera-based parking is calculated automatically based on actual parking time as recorded at entry and exit. The total cost, including any service and administration fees in accordance with ePARK’s price list applicable from time to time, is charged via the payment method selected by the user in the app (for example card, invoice, direct debit, or parking credits). For invoice payments, the same payment terms and fees apply as for other ePARK services. The user is responsible for ensuring that the selected payment method is valid and that sufficient funds are available at the time of charging.

If payment cannot be completed, ePARK has the right to charge reminder fees, administration fees, or take debt collection measures in accordance with law and these terms.

user responsibility
The user is responsible for:
• checking in the app that the parking session has started and ended correctly.
• enabling push notifications for confirmations and updates.
• ensuring that the vehicle’s registration plates are clean, intact, and readable.
• deactivating the camera feature if the vehicle is sold, exchanged, or returned.
• ensuring that the correct registration number is linked to the account.
• complying with the rules and conditions at the relevant parking location.
If the parking session is not started correctly, for example due to an unreadable plate, technical malfunction, or failure of the camera to read the registration number, the user is responsible for starting the parking manually.

processing of data via anpr
For camera-based parking, the registration number and the times of entry and exit are processed in order to calculate parking time and fees. The data is stored only for as long as required for payment handling, support matters, complaints, or legal obligations. ePARK may share necessary information with landowners, parking operators, or operating partners responsible for the relevant location. Data may also be used for information and marketing purposes in accordance with ePARK’s privacy policy.

limitation of liability for anpr
ePARK is not responsible for the operation, maintenance, or functionality of the cameras used for reading. These are owned and administered by the respective parking operator or landowner.

ePARK is also not responsible for errors caused by:
• incorrect or missing camera registration.
• unreadable registration plates.
• technical disruptions at the operator or on site.
• insufficient internet connectivity for the user.
• incorrect or insufficient activation of the camera feature by the user.

14. charging service
general
ePARK’s charging service enables the customer, via ePARK’s platform, to manage charging of electric vehicles in cooperation with the relevant parking operator and/or another partner. The customer can start and end a charging session and, where applicable, specify the desired charging time or charging level and, if necessary, adjust or extend charging during an ongoing session.
relationship to parking terms

The rules applicable to parking under these general terms also apply to charging to the extent relevant. In this section, start and end of parking refer instead to start and end of a charging session. Residential parking, permit parking, and functions based on automatic camera registration (ANPR) are not included in the charging service.

ePARK’s role in charging
At certain charging locations, ePARK may act as a reseller of electricity or charging time. In such cases, ePARK provides charging to the customer during the charging period by purchasing electricity or charging time from the relevant parking operator or partner and reselling it to the customer.
payment and claim

In cases where ePARK does not act as a reseller, ePARK may, when the charging session ends, instead assume the parking operator’s or partner’s payment claim against the customer regarding the charging cost, including VAT, in accordance with these terms.

charging stations and liability
The charging station itself is owned, operated, and maintained by the respective parking operator or partner. ePARK is therefore not responsible for the charging station’s technical functionality, availability, or operational disruptions and normally provides no on-site technical support.
If charging does not function as intended or if charging causes damage to the vehicle or other property, the customer should primarily contact the responsible parking operator or partner. Contact details are normally stated at the charging station and can also be provided by ePARK customer service if needed.

16. parking permits
general
These general terms apply to parking permits provided via a subscription model. By subscribing to and using a parking permit, the customer accepts these terms. The parking permit grants the right to park in accordance with the terms applicable to the relevant parking location and the granted permit. Parking in breach of local terms may result in a parking notice, control fee, or withdrawal of the permit.

scope of the parking permit
The parking permit is digital and linked to one or more vehicle registration numbers as specified for the respective permit. Only one registration number may be active per permit at any given time, unless expressly stated otherwise. The permit is valid only for the parking areas and during the validity period stated in the permit or associated information. The permit is personal and may not be transferred unless otherwise agreed.

subscription and validity
Parking permits may be provided either as an ongoing subscription or as a fixed-term permit, as stated at the time of order. The agreement is entered into at a distance.

An ongoing subscription remains valid until further notice and is automatically renewed for each new period with the period length and fee stated at the time of order, unless the subscription is terminated by the customer before the start of a new period in accordance with these terms.
Fixed-term parking permits are valid for the pre-stated validity period and automatically expire at the end of the period, without the need for termination.

Before entering into the agreement, the customer is informed of the main content of the agreement, price, binding period, termination conditions, and the existence of automatic renewal. ePARK reserves the right to change fees and terms for ongoing subscriptions. Such changes are communicated to the customer in a durable medium in good time before they take effect and apply no earlier than from the next renewal period. The customer has the right to
terminate the subscription before the changes take effect.

fees and payment
The subscription fee is charged in advance or in arrears depending on the chosen payment method. Payment may be made by invoice, bank card, or another payment method available from time to time. ePARK has the right to refuse invoice payment, for example after a credit assessment or in the event of previous payment defaults. In such case, the customer is responsible for ensuring payment is made via another available payment method. In the event of non-payment, ePARK has the right to temporarily or permanently block the parking permit.

local parking terms
Local parking terms such as parking areas, times, tariffs, control fees, and other rules are determined by the respective local parking operator and/or landowner. Such terms may vary between locations. ePARK is not responsible for local parking terms or for information provided by the parking operator or landowner.

possession and right of use
The subscription/parking permit does not mean that the customer obtains any possessory right or right of use in the property law sense to a parking space or parking area. The service only provides a right, where applicable and provided the other conditions are fulfilled, to use ePARK’s services to park in accordance with local terms determined by the relevant parking operator and/or landowner. No exclusive right to a specific space exists unless expressly agreed otherwise.

customer responsibility
The customer is responsible for:
• ensuring that the stated registration numbers are correct and updated.
• parking in accordance with the permit terms and local signage.
• paying subscription fees on time. An incorrect or non-updated registration number may result in a parking notice or control fee.

17. processing of personal data
By using ePARK’s services, you consent to ePARK processing your personal data as described in these terms. All processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation for ePARK’s role as data controller or data processor.

ePARK collects and processes personal data for the purpose of providing, administering, and charging for its services. The personal data processed by ePARK primarily consists of data you provide yourself when registering and paying for the services (email address, phone number, personal identity number, and vehicle registration number). Data may also be retrieved from, for example, population registers (name and address) or vehicle registers (owner, chassis number, etc.).

The data about you processed by ePARK will never be disclosed to third parties for marketing. Personal data may be shared with the owner of the land where the customer parks and with the responsible parking or enforcement company that manages operations, parking enforcement, and control at such location. Personal data may also be shared with debt collection companies for the collection of payments.

For invoice purchases for SMS parking, ePARK processes your personal data as data controller. The personal data is processed to perform the agreement and to carry out identity and credit checks via internal and external databases.
For purchases by bank card, ePARK never handles or stores the customer’s complete card details. Card payments are processed via certified payment intermediaries in accordance with applicable security standards.

ePARK reserves the right to retain anonymized data about completed parking sessions for statistical purposes, in which case it no longer constitutes personal data. If you have comments regarding ePARK/Electronic Parking AB’s processing of personal data, you may contact ePARK by post: Electronic Parking AB, Anders Carlssons gata 14, 417 55 Göteborg, or by email: dataskyddsombud@epark.se.

The responsible authority in Sweden for issues relating to personal data processing is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection. We share parkers’/customers’ email addresses and contact details with the parking administrator/parking operator.

your rights as an ePARK user
As a customer, you have the right, by written contact with ePARK, to:
• receive information about which personal data is processed about you.
• request correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data.
• receive information about how your personal data is processed, including the purpose of processing, which parties the data is shared with, and storage periods.
• request that your personal data be provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (data portability).
• request deletion of your personal data, to the extent the data does not need to be retained due to a legal obligation or contractual relationship.
• object to or opt out of direct marketing and other informational mailings from ePARK.

deletion of data
Data linked to customers/users of ePARK’s services is stored and processed no longer than necessary for the purposes of the services and applicable legislation. Personal data stored due to legal obligations, such as under the Swedish Bookkeeping Act, is stored for as long as required by law. Personal data that does not need to be retained by law is deleted after one year of inactivity by the customer/user. Location data for completed parking sessions is anonymized after 90 days.

18. force majeure
ePARK shall not be deemed liable for failure to perform its obligations under these terms if such failure is due to circumstances beyond ePARK’s reasonable control (force majeure).

Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: war, war-like events, terrorism, governmental actions, new or amended laws and regulations, strikes, lockouts or other labor disputes, natural disasters, fire, flooding, pandemic, epidemic, extensive operational disruptions, interruptions in power, data or telecommunications, errors in third-party systems (such as payment services, networks, app stores or operating systems), or other circumstances that ePARK could not reasonably foresee or avoid.

During a force majeure period, ePARK is released from liability for damage, loss, or other consequences arising due to the event. ePARK shall take reasonable measures to limit the effects of the force majeure event and resume the service as soon as practicable.
